Crown Lakes Realty was started in Spring of 2021 by Matt and Kristy (Morneault) Dechaine, after moving back to Madawaska from Portland to raise a family. They are both born and raised right here in the St John Valley, and have many friends and family in the area. Upon moving, they essentially restarted the business they had in Portland. Matt had been running a successful real estate team at Keller Williams in Portland, using videos and other creative media to connect with clients and produce sales. His experience is beyond just the sales however, as he worked in residential carpentry for several years and was also a landlord in Portland. His knowledge of these different yet interrelated industries helps to bring a greater depth of understanding to the company.
Once Crown Lakes Realty got their footing in the Northern Maine Market, they quickly grew and added a sales agent named Nicki Voisine in its first year of operation. The next year brought more growth, as we opened our first physical office on Main Street in Madawaska. At the end of 2023, we were finally able to hire a great full time employee to be our administrative specialist and ensure the back end of our business runs smoothly. Looking forward, Crown Lakes Realty is poised to grow even more as we move into a new office building we’ve bought, and are adding new services to new areas all the time.
